CAYIN and QNAP Introduce Media Viewer for Seamless Transition to QTS 6.0 Standards

To deliver superior multimedia performance, CAYIN Technology announces that Media Viewer will officially succeed MediaSign Player. The upcoming latest version v1.7 CAYIN Media Viewer will support existing MediaSign Player Plus licenses. This adjusted licensing structure ensures a smooth transition to QNAP QTS 6.0 while providing professional users with enhanced high-definition media management.
As a global provider of digital signage solutions, CAYIN Technology has maintained a close strategic partnership with QNAP (QNAP Systems, Inc.). To provide NAS users with a more stable and future-proof media management experience, we officially announce that CAYIN Media Viewer will take over the tasks of the current MediaSign Player. Specifically for our existing users, v1.7 of CAYIN Media Viewer now supports MediaSign Player Plus licenses, allowing users to continue using professional features during the transition.

Key Adjustments Supporting QTS 6.0 and Optimized Licensing


With the launch of QNAP’s QTS 6.0, our product support and licensing structures have been adjusted:
  • System Limitation: MediaSign Player only operates up to QTS 5.x. Once adjusted to QNAP QTS 6.0 or later, MediaSign Player will no longer be supported.
  • Early Deployment: Users do not need to wait for a system update; CAYIN Media Viewer can be installed on current QTS 5.2.x environments today via the App Center.
  • Manual Installation: Please note that CAYIN Media Viewer and MediaSign Player are two separate applications. The system will not migrate existing settings. Users must manually visit the QNAP App Center to download and install CAYIN Media Viewer.
